In this episode of Wisdom's Table, I, Rachel Wortman, dive into the often complex and emotionally charged topic of investing. We explore the multifaceted nature of investing, addressing the excitement, fear, and even guilt that can accompany discussions about wealth-building, especially within a Christian context. Many of us have been taught that accumulating wealth is not spiritual, but I challenge that notion by highlighting biblical principles that encourage us to multiply what we have rather than bury it.
We begin by discussing the concept of "bread and seed" from 2 Corinthians 9:10, emphasizing that God provides for our immediate needs (the bread) while also giving us resources (the seed) to invest for future growth. I stress the importance of discerning what in our hands is meant for today versus what is intended for tomorrow, encouraging listeners to view their finances through a lens of stewardship rather than greed.
Throughout the episode, I share my personal experiences and insights, while also acknowledging that I am not a financial expert. Instead, I aim to provide a spiritual and high-level perspective on investing.

In this episode of Wisdom's Table, I dive deep into a topic that many of us may shy away from discussing: debt. Often viewed as a dirty word, debt is something that can significantly impact not just our finances, but our freedom, peace, and ability to fulfill God's assignments in our lives. I aim to shed light on what the Bible truly says about debt, emphasizing that it is more than just a financial issue; it is a spiritual one as well.
We start by acknowledging that not all debt is created equal, but all debt requires discernment. I explain how debt, in biblical terms, is essentially borrowing from tomorrow's resources to pay for yesterday's expenses, which can lead us out of alignment with God's provision. Drawing from scripture, I highlight the biblical perspective that encourages us to be lenders rather than borrowers, and I share insights from my Money Mandate e-course, where we explore the implications of debt in greater detail.

In this episode of Wisdom's Table, I dive deep into a topic that has been on my mind for quite some time: embracing who God made you to be, learning to love yourself, and recognizing your ability to influence others. This conversation is crucial, especially for Christian women, as it often gets overlooked in our discussions about faith and identity.
I start by referencing a statistic shared by entrepreneur Cody Sanchez, which suggests that women who wear makeup tend to earn significantly more than those who don’t. This leads us into a broader discussion about the pressures women face regarding their appearance and how these societal expectations can conflict with our Christian values. I emphasize that while looking presentable can have its benefits, true influence comes from authenticity and a heart that reflects the love of Jesus.
Ready to finally arrive in your promise land? Tired of going around the promise, and near the promise, but never feeling like you actually enter the land?? The answer could be in learning God's way a little deeper. You can't access what you don't understand...and this is where the Kingdom Leaders Community comes in. LEARN MORE HERE

In this episode of Wisdom's Table, I dive deep into a topic that resonates with many of us: the desire for a guaranteed formula for success in our businesses, particularly when we seek to align our efforts with God's will. Have you ever wished for a straightforward answer from Jesus on how to achieve success? While there isn't a quick fix in the Kingdom of God, I present a four-part formula that can lead to what I call "guaranteed biblical increase."
Drawing from Isaiah 55:11, I outline the essential components of this formula: Promise, People, Positioning, and Timing. Each of these elements plays a crucial role in ensuring that we are aligned with God's purpose for our lives and businesses.
Promise: Understanding the specific promise God has given you is vital. I emphasize the importance of clarity in what God has called you to do. Without a clear promise, we may find ourselves pursuing paths that are not aligned with God's will, leading to frustration and stagnation.
People: This component focuses on the "who" of your promise. It's essential to identify the audience or community you are meant to serve. I discuss how the right promise can be rendered ineffective if the wrong people are involved. Knowing your target demographic is key to unlocking the potential of your calling.
Positioning: Here, I explore how your market positioning affects your ability to achieve success. I use real estate as an analogy to illustrate how understanding market dynamics and setting realistic goals are crucial for aligning with God's plan. If your positioning is off, even the best promise and the right people won't lead to the increase you desire.
Timing: Finally, I address the importance of God's timing. I remind listeners that there are seasons in the spiritual realm that impact our lives and businesses. Being patient and discerning God's timing is essential for reaping the harvest He has in store for us.
Throughout the episode, I encourage listeners to conduct a self-audit in these four areas to identify where they may need realignment. I also invite you to join my Kingdom Leaders Community, where we delve deeper into these principles and support one another in our journeys.
As we wrap up, I express my gratitude for your support and encourage you to share this episode with friends who may benefit from this message. Join me next week as we continue to explore what it means to partner with God in our businesses and lives. Until then, be blessed!
